To define and lead engineering methodologies and technical strategies that drive innovation, efficiency, and alignment with industry standards. This role ensures scalable, standardized processes and provides expert consultation to support successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement technical strategies and methodologies across the organization.
- Display a customer focused approach by demonstrating clear and competent communication, issue resolution & delivery to expectations and sharing this approach with the team.
- Promote innovation through scalable, standardized engineering processes and tools.
- Identify best practice by networking widely and extensively with EDA and IP companies and their users in other companies as applicable to our ASIC projects.
- Ensure suitable design methodologies and flows are available, clearly documented and with suitable training provided for all project phases.
- Where required define R&D work packages for execution in R&D team.
- Collate feedback from Project Leads, Technical Leads and regional experts to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with external partners to integrate cutting-edge methodologies and IPs.
- Contribute to technical white papers and present at internal and external conferences and will contribute to sales support as part of a team.
- Provide expert consultation and governance across customer projects.
- Act as a subject matter expert, supporting peer reviews and resolving complex technical issues.
- Ensure alignment between project execution and overarching technical strategy.
Qualifications
- A relevant Engineering degree.
Skills & Experience
- A creative thinker, able to consolidate ideas from multiple sources into a relevant solution.
- Able to effectively work with and listen to external suppliers, to absorb knowledge and apply to ASIC projects.
- Ability to implement the adoption of new tools and processes.
- Ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation in English, and to serve as an editor for reviewing and refining the work of others.
Technical Skills
- Typically, 5+ years’ experience in the semiconductor industry.
- A technical guru in their field.
- Customer engagement experience.
- Detailed understanding and proven experience of sharing best practices.
- High-level understanding of other SoC disciplines.
- Proven capability as a problem solver with an ability to coach others.
- Technical lead experience including planning and estimation.
- Pre-sales customer facing experience.
- Experience of specifying new flows or development of existing flows.
