To define and lead Physical design methodologies and technical strategies that drive innovation, efficiency, and alignment with industry standards. This role ensures scalable, standardized processes and provides expert consultation to support successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement technical strategies and methodologies across the organization.
- Display a customer focused approach by demonstrating clear and competent communication, issue resolution & delivery to expectations and sharing this approach with the team.
- Promote innovation through scalable, standardized engineering processes and tools.
- Identify best practice by networking widely and extensively with EDA and IP companies and their users in other companies as applicable to our ASIC projects.
- Ensure suitable design methodologies and flows are available, clearly documented and with suitable training provided for all project phases.
- Where required define R&D work packages for execution in R&D team.
- Collate feedback from Project Leads, Technical Leads and regional experts to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with external partners to integrate cutting-edge methodologies and IPs.
- Contribute to technical white papers and present at internal and external conferences and will contribute to sales support as part of a team.
- Provide expert consultation and governance across customer projects.
- Act as a subject matter expert, supporting peer reviews and resolving complex technical issues.
- Ensure alignment between project execution and overarching technical strategy.

- A technical guru in PD with vast experience in full chip P&R, signoff and integration.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Detailed understanding and proven experience of sharing PD best practices.
- High-level understanding of other SoC disciplines.
- Proven capability as a problem solver with an ability to coach others.
- A creative thinker, able to consolidate ideas from multiple sources into a relevant solution.
- Rolling out and maintaining clear technical documentation and training materials.
- Working with EDA tool vendors to choose and maintain a contemporary set of installations and co-ordinate higher-level vendor support.
- Presentation of complex technical concepts to internal stakeholders and industrial partners in a clear and compelling manner.
- Ability to document all processes and methodologies in a structured manner, ensuring they are version-controlled and regularly updated to reflect the latest changes.
- Experience of presenting technical white papers.
