This is a bank-style position, ideal for nurses seeking meaningful, patient-focused work without the constraints of full-time employment. Given our clinic runs on weekends, this role offers flexibility around existing employment. You’ll play a vital role in delivering safe, person-centred care in a calming, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete nursing assessments and monitor patients throughout their treatment sessions
  • Work collaboratively with therapists and the wider clinical team to support holistic care
  • Adhere to safe medicines management protocols, including handling of controlled drugs
  • Provide a calming, therapeutic presence during treatment sessions
  • Ensure all infection prevention and control measures are upheld
  • Participate in clinical meetings, supervision, and quality improvement activities

We’re looking for nurses who are:

  • Registered with the NMC and have at least 3 years post-qualification experience
  • Confident managing controlled drugs in line with legislation and clinic protocols
  • Experienced in clinical documentation and safeguarding processes
  • Skilled in working independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team
  • Compassionate, reliable, and committed to trauma-informed care

Desirable but not essential:

  • Previous experience in ketamine-assisted, psychedelic-assisted therapy or emerging mental health treatments
  • Ability to hold own indemnity insurance and work through a limited company

Working at Aion Clinic

  • Weekend-only shifts: half-day or full-day availability
  • Upfront scheduling: we share shift requests at least 2 weeks ahead of time.
  • Patient-centric commitment: we ask staff to commit to ideally 1 shift for 4 consecutive weekends to ensure patient continuity and offer optimal care
  • Self-employed, paid per hour or per patient seen
  • All sessions delivered from our London clinic
