National Field based position with office visits to Slough. This role sits at the heart of an exciting new venture between Jameel Motors and GAC, established to introduce the AION range of intelligent electric vehicles to the UK market. As part of the team, you will help establish and grow AION Auto UK combining GAC’s cutting-edge EV innovation with Jameel Motors’ deep automotive expertise to deliver a new benchmark in electric mobility. This is more than a position in a new company; it’s an opportunity to be part of a defining moment in the UK’s transition to intelligent, sustainable mobility.

Role Overview

As National Leasing Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and driving AION Auto’s leasing, fleet and public‑sector strategy across the UK. You’ll be responsible for generating significant Fleet volume through strong partnerships with Leasing Companies, Public Sector organisations, Brokers and Regional Rental channels. This is a highly influential position with substantial autonomy, working closely with senior leadership to define engagement with the UK leasing market. Success in this role will be shaped by your ability to build trusted relationships, negotiate effectively, and represent the brand confidently at all levels both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure AION products are positioned effectively across Leasing Companies, Brokers and Public Sector partners, building strong relationships at all levels and acting as a credible, trusted advisor.
  • Analyse and challenge residual values, SMR data and whole‑life cost assumptions, benchmarking the market and proposing tactical activity to keep AION competitive and support volume delivery.
  • Drive fleet volumes by influencing partner decisions, managing support requests, encouraging demonstrator usage and identifying new commercial opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and fleet dynamics, delivering clear insights, accurate forecasting and weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting.
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product and Network Development teams, developing expert product knowledge and representing AION confidently in presentations and partner meetings.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience working for an OEM or leasing company.
  • Proven track record engaging with Leasing Companies, Public Sector organisations and Brokers, with confidence presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship‑management skills, able to build credibility quickly and influence commercial decisions.
  • Excellent understanding of funding methods, whole‑life cost modelling and UK taxation regulations.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to negotiate contracts, interpret performance data and drive partner profitability.
  • Knowledge of EV market dynamics, customer behaviour and emerging mobility trends.
  • Strategic thinker who can balance long‑term planning with practical, results‑oriented delivery.
