Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Claims Support Agent to join our dynamic team. The role is HYBRID WORKING – 37.5 hrs (Monday-Friday). No claims or insurance experience required. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the delivery of our Claims strategy by ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of all claims-related activities, including handling payments, claims income, and recoveries, while collaborating closely with suppliers and internal operations to guarantee that all transactions are processed accurately, promptly, and at the lowest cost to the business.
Responsibilities
- Handle work allocated by the Team Manager, ensuring compliance with authority levels, claims guidelines, and procedures.
- Maintain Claims Support workflow, ensuring accurate and prompt documentation of actions and up-to-date claims systems.
- Manage various payment types within authority limits, ensuring accurate calculations, income tracking, and timely reconciliation of financial records.
- Action subrogation activities to drive the rapid recovery of outlay and early settlement of claims.
- Triaging claims to route specific activities to appropriate handlers or specialized teams.
- Process incoming and outgoing post/documentation, directing it to the relevant recipients efficiently.
- Work confidently with software tools such as Microsoft Office, Audatex, Verify, and document management systems.
- Support testing of new claims administration processes and system functionalities to enhance efficiency.
- Communicate professionally with colleagues, suppliers, and customers to maintain positive relationships and drive claims progress.
- Take ownership of claims, ensuring consistent follow-through, proactive settlement actions, and reducing delays.

Qualifications
- Knowledge of motor claims (desirable).
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing claims processes and procedures.
- Understanding of the FCA regulatory framework, FOS ethos, and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) initiatives.
- Proactive in managing incoming workflows and prioritizing tasks efficiently.
- Strong data entry skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask across various systems and platforms with ease.
- Good verbal and numerical reasoning skills, with the ability to develop and apply effective solutions to problems.
- Understanding of negligence principles and their application in motor accident liability.
