As a Rigger/Machine Mover, you will work as part of a skilled project team to install, move, and remove industrial machinery and equipment. You will handle lifting operations, mechanical assembly/disassembly, and plant relocation tasks - supporting the Foreman and team to complete projects safely and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out machinery installations, removal and relocation projects
- Operate lifting, jacking systems, skating and hoisting systems safely and correctly
- Assist with assembly/disassembly of plant, machinery, and equipment
- Work according to approved RAMS and site safety standards
- Support the Foreman in achieving daily work targets and maintaining quality
- Complete daily safety checks and relevant documentation
- Maintain tools, PPE, and equipment in good condition
- Present yourself and AIS Vanguard professionally at all times
Essential Experience and Skills
- Practical experience in rigging, slinging or machinery moving
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and motivated with 'can-do' attitude
- Full UK Driving License
Qualifications
- Slinger / Signaller
- Forklift Truck and MEWP licence
- CSCS or equivalent safety card
