Ainscough Crane Hire in Immingham is looking for a number of CPCS Blue Card Mobile Crane Operators to join their successful team in the coming weeks.

Job Purpose/Objectives of a Mobile Crane Operator:

To provide high-quality lifting services, prioritising safety for employees, customers, and the public.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work according to manufacturer's instructions at all times.
  • Adhere to road traffic regulations.
  • Ensure PPE is worn appropriately.
  • Use outriggers correctly, ensuring they are on level ground.
  • Set and check the rated capacity limiter and indicator.
  • Perform manual handling correctly, e.g., Outrigger Pans.
  • Liaise with Site/Project Manager upon arrival.
  • Resist pressures to carry out unsafe operations.
  • Interpret reports and duty charts related to crane operation and safety.
  • Be aware of wind and climatic effects on crane and load safety.
  • Take action to avoid dangerous situations, including stopping operations if necessary.
  • Access and depart the crane safely using ladders and grab rails.
  • Undergo training on specific crane models, rigging, and maintenance procedures, and review crane documentation.
  • Continuously seek improvements in operational efficiency.

Person Specification:

  • Full Driver's Licence
  • HGV Class C Licence
  • Valid Blue CPCS card with Mobile Crane Operator endorsement
  • Previous mobile crane operation experience
  • Knowledge of wind and climatic effects on cranes and loads
  • Strong understanding of road traffic regulations
