The Role

As a Slinger / Signaller, you will play a vital role in ensuring lifting operations are completed safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include:

  • Attaching and detaching loads safely
  • Working in line with manufacturer instructions and site procedures
  • Establishing load weights, centre of gravity and load balance
  • Selecting appropriate lifting accessories and checking equipment condition
  • Directing crane movements using approved signalling methods
  • Liaising with site contacts and project teams upon arrival
  • Identifying and challenging unsafe practices when necessary
  • Monitoring environmental factors such as wind and weather conditions
  • Taking action to prevent dangerous situations, including stopping operations where required
  • Operating fire suppressant equipment where fitted

What We’re Looking For

  • Valid CPCS A40 Slinger / Signaller Blue Card
  • Previous experience in a Slinger / Signaller role
  • Strong communication skills
