Ainscough Crane Hire are looking for a Business Development Co-Ordinator to join the team at Head Office in Standish, Wigan.
We are seeking a proactive individual to join our team, dedicated to supporting the Sales teams and proactively contacting our customer database to develop and maintain relationships, generating new business opportunities to achieve company sales targets, and qualifying inbound leads.

Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively conduct outbound calls using customer and prospect databases to generate and qualify sales leads.
- Achieve ongoing targets for lead generation and customer account management.
- Manage incoming enquiries across multiple channels, assigning leads to appropriate sales teams based on the sales cycle stage.
- Support field sales by qualifying prospects and scheduling relevant follow-ups.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to position Ainscough Crane Hire as their preferred supplier.
- Identify and escalate new revenue opportunities to Business Development Managers.
- Collaborate closely with depots, Sales Managers, and other internal teams to ensure seamless customer service and lead handling.
- Continuously develop knowledge of the crane hire market and client industries.
- Accurately report activity and maintain CRM systems for visibility and performance tracking.
- Flexibly support the wider team with additional duties as required by management.
Person Specification:
Knowledge & Experience:
- Target-driven and self-motivated with a proven track record in lead generation and customer account management.
- Strong understanding of the full end-to-end sales cycle.
- Previous outbound telesales experience is essential; construction sector experience is desirable.
- Confident using telephony and CRM systems (preferred).
- Enthusiastic, and professional in approach.
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain effective customer relationships.
- Proven ability to identify and close sales opportunities.
- Willingness to learn and confidently communicate technical information related to Crane Hire and Contract Lifting.
- Competent in using CRM systems and IT literate across Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
