Our Refurb Centre in Stockton is on the lookout for a skilled Fabricator, Welder & Vehicle Body Repairer to join our high-performing engineering team. What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a key role in keeping our fleet in top condition, working closely with our Maintenance Supervisor and workshop team. No two days are the same—expect a mix of planned work, problem-solving, and specialist projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out refurbishment and repair work across our crane fleet and ancillary equipment
- Supporting special projects, including structural fabrication work beyond standard vehicle repairs
- Working collaboratively with the Workshop Supervisor and Manager
- Ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards—every time
- Helping ensure all vehicles leaving the depot are safe, compliant, and road-ready
What We’re Looking For
We’re after someone who knows their craft and takes pride in their work. You’ll need:
- A recognised apprenticeship (minimum 3 years) in fabrication, welding, or vehicle body repair
- Strong experience with MIG, TIG, and argon arc welding
- The ability to read and work from engineering drawings, working accurately within tolerances
- Hands-on experience with bending machines, drills, saws, and other workshop equipment
- Confidence using cutting methods such as oxy/acetylene and plasma
