Ainscough Crane Hire in St Neots are seeking an experienced CPCS Blue Card Mobile Crane Operator to join our team, specifically to operate a 150t mobile crane within our fleet. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a 150t mobile crane to manufacturer specifications and Ainscough safety standards
- Comply with all road traffic regulations
- Ensure correct and consistent use of PPE
- Set, check, and operate the rated capacity limiter and rated capacity indicator
- Apply safe manual handling techniques, including the use of outrigger pans
- Use outriggers correctly and ensure they are deployed on level ground
- Liaise with the Site Manager or Project Manager upon arrival
- Maintain professional judgement and resist pressure to undertake unsafe operations
- Interpret and apply information from duty charts, reports, and crane documentation
- Monitor and respond appropriately to wind and other climatic conditions
- Take immediate action to avoid dangerous situations, including stopping operations when required
- Safely access and exit the crane using ladders and grab rails
- Undertake training on specific crane models; maintain familiarity with rigging, maintenance procedures, and documentation
- Proactively identify opportunities for operational improvement
