We’re currently supporting a growing technology consultancy with the appointment of a
Technical Project Manager to join their delivery function.
This is a senior, hands-on delivery position where you’ll take ownership of complex technology projects from early planning through implementation, launch and handover.
You’ll work closely with clients, technical teams and senior stakeholders, taking responsibility for delivery across scope, timelines, budgets, risks and quality.
The role will suit someone who enjoys getting into the detail rather than simply managing from a distance.
You’ll be expected to understand project data, challenge technical assumptions, work closely with architects and developers, and maintain a clear view of what is actually happening across your engagements.
Key areas will include
- Leading complex technology implementation projects from initiation through to completion.
- Managing project budgets, forecasting and resource utilisation.
- Owning delivery plans, risks, dependencies and governance.
- Working directly with technical and business teams to resolve delivery issues.
- Managing client relationships and communicating confidently with senior stakeholders.
- Coordinating data, integration, testing and implementation activities.
- Using project management platforms and modern AI tools to improve delivery and reporting.
- Supporting projects that may require additional structure or recovery.
- Contributing to delivery standards, processes and best practice within the wider team.
What we're looking for
We’re interested in candidates with a strong background in technology delivery, programme management or senior project management, ideally gained within a consultancy, systems integrator or similar client-facing environment.
You should have
- Proven experience delivering complex technology projects.
- Strong commercial and financial awareness.
- The confidence to work with architects, developers and other technical specialists.
- Excellent stakeholder and client management skills.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and delivery teams.
- A highly organised and analytical approach.
- The ability to remain calm and decisive when projects come under pressure.
- A genuine interest in technology and emerging AI-enabled ways of working.
Experience across CRM, enterprise applications, data, integration or wider digital transformation would be advantageous, but specific platform experience isn't essential.
This is a good opportunity for an experienced delivery professional looking for a role where they can have genuine ownership of client engagements and play an important part in the continued growth of a specialist technology consultancy.
All applications will be reviewed based on merit, relevant experience, and suitability for the role.
