Account Manager

The Opportunity

We've completed close to 400 since launching in January 2024, and we're now looking to establish a dedicated Account Management function.

This person will take ownership of our existing client portfolio, proactively contacting businesses to understand their ongoing funding requirements, building relationships and generating additional revenue through repeat business and cross-selling.

Going forward, new business brokers will retain ownership of clients for 30 days EOM following completion, after which accounts will transfer to the Account Manager.

Key responsibilities

  • Proactively outbound to our existing portfolio of business clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners and finance decision-makers.
  • Identify opportunities for repeat funding, additional facilities and cross-selling.
  • Discuss and arrange a broad range of commercial finance products, including invoice finance, business loans, revolving crefit, supplier finance, asset finance and trade finance.
  • Manage opportunities from initial conversation through to completion, supported by our Sales Operations function.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, client contact schedules and follow-up activity.
  • Work towards monthly revenue, activity and client retention targets.
  • Develop a structured account management approach as the portfolio continues to grow.
  • Renew invoice finance facilities.
  • Ideal candidate
  • Strong B2B sales or account management experience, ideally within commercial finance, financial services or a related sector.
  • Proactive and confident on the telephone, comfortable generating opportunities rather than simply responding to inbound enquiries (this is crucial).
  • Commercially minded, target-driven and motivated by commission.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Organised, with the ability to manage a substantial portfolio of clients.
  • Ambitious and interested in progressing within a growing business.
  • Commercial finance experience would be a significant advantage, but we'd consider a strong B2B salesperson with the right attributes.
  • What success looks like

The successful candidate will systematically engage our existing client portfolio, establish a strong pipeline of repeat funding opportunities and ultimately generate £20,000+ in monthly revenue once established.

This is a genuine opportunity for someone to build and eventually help lead our Account Management function as Funding Links scales
