A day in the life of… As Finance Controller you will prepare monthly management accounts, manage sales ledgers, participate in the hotel forecasting process and hotel budget processes, supporting the forecast of payroll and expenses as well as reviewing and challenging the revenue forecast as appropriate. You will compile a monthly cash flow forecast and monitor bank transactions as well as attend Owner and Management Company meetings as required.
What do we need from you? You’ll have a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. A strong understanding of financial analysis, including the ability to analyse financial data and prepare detailed financial reports, making you able to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to inform decision‑making. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly and effectively communicate financial information to internal and external stakeholders, whilst also able to collaborate with other departments and provide guidance to staff members. You will have strong leadership and management skills, able to lead a team of financial professionals, set financial goals and objectives, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards. You’ll also be comfortable with providing strategic financial guidance to the executive team and board of directors.
