This is an exciting opportunity for an Operations professional looking for a role with real visibility, breadth and impact. Whether you’re an experienced Operations Manager seeking a new environment, or a strong departmental leader ready to step up, Staybridge Suites Birmingham offers the chance to play a central role in the day-to-day leadership of a unique hotel operation—supported by one of the world’s leading hotel management companies, Aimbridge Hospitality.
This role offers both influence and progression. You’ll have the opportunity to shape standards, support Heads of Department, and contribute to the wider strategic direction of the hotel, while continuing to grow your own leadership capability.
As Operations Manager, you’ll sit at the heart of the hotel’s operation, working closely with the General Manager and Heads of Department to ensure exceptional standards are delivered consistently. This is a front-facing, hands-on leadership role where presence on the floor matters just as much as planning and performance oversight.
You’ll support and coach department leaders across rooms, housekeeping and food & beverage, helping them balance guest experience, commercial awareness and people development. Alongside the day-to-day running of the hotel, you’ll take an active role in driving continuous improvement—spotting opportunities, refining processes and helping teams perform at their best.
This role offers genuine exposure to the full operation of the hotel and is ideal for someone who wants to broaden their experience, sharpen their strategic thinking, and build a strong foundation for long‑term career progression in hotel leadership.
What We’re Looking For
We’re open to both established Operations Managers and those stepping into this level for the first time. A background in housekeeping would be particularly well suited, and experience within rooms, front office or breakfast / food & beverage operations would be a strong advantage. You may currently be a Rooms Division Team Leader or Department Head looking to gain the full operational picture.
Strong people skills are essential. You’ll be comfortable working with and influencing Heads of Department, confident engaging with guests, and motivated by developing others. A strategic mindset, curiosity about how the business operates, and a genuine appetite for continuous improvement will set you apart—alongside an evident hunger to progress and accelerate your career.
Why Join Aimbridge Hospitality?
When you join Aimbridge Hospitality, you’re joining a global leader with a strong reputation for developing talent. You’ll be supported with structured training, access to experienced leaders, and clear progression pathways—whether that’s strengthening your operational expertise or moving into broader hotel leadership roles across our wider portfolio.
We offer competitive pay, a supportive and inclusive culture, and the opportunity to build a long‑term career within a growing international business. At Aimbridge, development is practical and real. You’ll be trusted with responsibility, encouraged to grow, and supported to succeed.
