The Role Holiday Inn & Staybridge Suites London Heathrow Bath Road puts you right at the centre of one of the UK’s most competitive and high-energy markets. This is a business of real scale, constant demand, and shifting opportunity—where commercial leadership is visible, influential, and makes a tangible difference every day. In this role, you step straight into that spotlight.
As Director of Sales & Marketing, you’ll sit on the Executive Team, reporting directly to the Commercial Director, with full ownership of the sales agenda and a clear platform to shape performance and strengthen the hotel’s position. You’ll have the autonomy to lead with conviction, the backing to make decisions that count, and the visibility to influence beyond sales alone. This is a role where your presence matters, your network makes an impact, and the results you deliver are felt across the entire business.
You’ll take full ownership of how this hotel wins business, focusing your energy on the deals and relationships that genuinely move performance. This isn’t about filling the pipeline for the sake of it; it’s about knowing where the real opportunity sits, going after it with intent, and converting it into long-term, sustainable revenue. Your network will be one of your biggest strengths. The relationships you’ve built will give you a platform from day one, helping you open doors, create momentum, and quickly establish your presence in the Heathrow market. You’ll know how to turn those connections into meaningful partnerships that deliver real impact.
You’ll also lead from the front with your team. A group of Sales Managers will look to you for direction, pace, and belief. You’ll coach and challenge them, bring clarity to what good looks like, and build a culture that is proactive, accountable, focused on delivering results and maximizing visibility across all channels. Working closely with the wider commercial team, you’ll ensure everything is aligned and pulling in the same direction. And externally, you’ll be highly visible—representing the hotel with confidence, building trust with key clients, and shaping how the business shows up in the market.
What We’re Looking For
This role is suited to an established Director of Sales & Marketing, operating within a large-scale or complex hotel environment where pace, volume and expectation are consistently high. Experience within airport or Heathrow markets brings a natural advantage. You’ll bring a strong, credible network of key commercial relationships that are active, influential and capable of delivering real commercial value rather than transactional wins. We believe that performance is measured through the quality of what is delivered, not the quantity of activity and this will be key. Energy and drive are essential. A proactive, assertive approach to business development, combined with the pace and determination needed to stay ahead in a highly competitive market. This is someone who leads from the front, sets the tone, and brings others with them. You’ll be able to lead a team and have the ability to develop individuals, build alignment, and create a high-performing, engaged sales and innovative culture. Alongside this you'll have credibility to operate confidently at Executive Team level and act as the external face of the business.
What You Can Expect from Us
A position with genuine ownership, where autonomy is expected and influence is real. The opportunity to shape the sales direction of a flagship Heathrow property and to leave a clear commercial imprint on the business. You’ll work as part of an experienced Executive Team in close partnership with the Commercial Director, contributing to a broader strategy while owning your space within it.
