This role is suited to someone who enjoys working as part of a team, delivering great service and contributing to the smooth running of events. As a Conference and Events Assistant, you will play an important part in ensuring that every event runs to a high standard, from initial set up through to delivery. Whether supporting weddings, corporate functions or private events, you will help create a positive and professional experience for guests and clients.
In this role, you will contribute directly to how events are delivered, how guests experience the space and how the team works together to achieve high standards. You will support the preparation and running of conferences and events, including setting up rooms, serving food, working in a busy bar setting, and ensuring all areas are presented to a high standard. You will respond to guest requests throughout events, helping to create a smooth and enjoyable experience. You will work closely with colleagues across the hotel, supporting communication between teams and ensuring that each event runs efficiently. You will also maintain clean and organised work areas, following health and safety standards at all times.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable and takes pride in delivering good service. You will be comfortable working as part of a team, supporting colleagues and communicating clearly throughout shifts. You will be organised and able to manage your time effectively, even when the pace increases. Attention to detail is important, as well as the ability to respond to guest requests in a professional and helpful way. A passion for hospitality and creating a positive experience for guests is critical. Previous experience in a busy bar setting is essential, but just as important is your attitude and willingness to learn. You will also be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, depending on business needs.
