This is a rare opportunity for an experienced General Manager to step into a genuinely influential leadership role, overseeing two distinctly different hotel operations through a period of change, transition and commercial opportunity. Based across Rainhill Hall Hotel and The Dixie Dean Hotel, this project-led GM appointment has been created to provide stability, direction and commercial oversight. For the right individual, it also offers the opportunity to influence future structure and strategy with the opportunity to get onboard with the world's leading hospitality management company Aimbridge Hospitality.

As Cluster General Manager, you will take overarching responsibility for a two-hotel cluster, leading established on-property teams while acting as the senior operational and commercial lead across both sites. This role will suit a GM who is comfortable operating in unbranded and events driven hotels, who can confidently balance day-to-day trading with project work, reactive maintenance and key strategic commercial decision making.

Key Responsibilities
  • You’ll provide confident, visible leadership across both hotels, ensuring teams remain engaged, performance is maintained and guest experience is protected throughout a period of change and beyond.
  • Commercially, you’ll work with the on-site and Aimbridge teams to drive revenue performance through proactive sales and marketing activity, making intelligent use of alternative channels and local demand drivers, while keeping a firm grip on cost control and profitability.
  • Operationally, you’ll oversee maintenance priorities, manage reactive repairs, and work closely with owners and stakeholders on capital investment, refurbishment and repositioning planning and business continuity.
  • You’ll be supported by an established on-site leadership structure, allowing you to focus on strategic oversight, coaching and commercial performance.

This role will suit an experienced General Manager or senior hotel leader who thrives in change-led environments and enjoys bringing clarity and leadership to complex situations. You’ll be commercially strong, confident managing unbranded or independent hotels, and comfortable making pragmatic decisions around maintenance, CapEx and trading priorities. Experience leading hotels through refurbishment, repositioning, rebranding, disruption or periods of uncertainty will be a clear advantage.

Local Liverpool market knowledge is helpful but not essential — what matters most is your ability to quickly understand the business, build trust with existing teams, and lead with confidence and credibility. You’ll also be adaptable, resilient and comfortable stepping into a high-impact project role where judgement, visibility and pace are key.

This is a senior, visible Cluster General Manager role with genuine scope, influence and responsibility. For some, it will be an attractive opportunity to add experience to their CV whilst working with two unique properties. For others, it could be a strategic step into a longer-term leadership role and a chance to work with the best in the business and get on board with Aimbridge EMEA. Either way, it’s an opportunity to lead strategy whilst being a custodian of two fantastic properties and truly help shape what comes next.
