A day in the life of…
As a Nightshift Team Member, you will work closely with the Front Office Management Team, and be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of hotel guests and staff during the night and as an ambassador to the hotel, you will use your expertise to always deliver a first-class service to all guests. You will ensure security checks are carried out on each shift, with emphasis on fire safety and overall security of the building as well as conducting the nightly audit to close the day\’s business and liaise with the accounts team to ensure accuracy.
You will also help prepare breakfast for 6am, daily and liaise with guests and residents in the hotel, dealing with any problems and resolving complaints in a courteous and professional manner.
As an integral part of night time operations in the hotel, your role extends beyond the front desk! You’ll be agile in your role and support operations in food and beverage, maintenance and all other areas that will require your first class customer service skills and exemplary team work skillset. This role is unlike any other in our hotel and offers development opportunities across all departments.
You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring that guests have a first class enjoyable and comfortable stay.
What do we need from you?
- Strong attention to detail: You must have a keen eye for detail to ensure that all areas of the property are clean and presentable.
- Good communication skills: You’ll have strong communication skills to interact with guests and staff members effectively. You may also need to report any issues or incidents to the appropriate authorities.
- Customer service skills: You should possess good customer service skills to assist guests with their needs and ensure that they have a comfortable and pleasant stay. You’ll need to be approachable, friendly, and able to handle any guest complaints or requests.
- Ability to work overnight shifts: It goes without saying, but you must be able to work late-night and early-morning shifts as the role typically involves working during the night-time hours.
