Mercure Telford Centre Hotel is a successful, well-established hotel with a passionate team, a strong reputation and exciting opportunities for growth. We are looking for an inspiring General Manager who can build on these strong foundations, bringing the commercial focus, operational expertise and leadership capability needed to take the hotel to the next level. This is an opportunity for a proven hotel leader who thrives on developing people, elevating guest experiences and driving sustainable business performance.
As General Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the performance of the hotel, leading your team to deliver exceptional guest experiences, strong financial results and a positive, high-performing culture. You'll provide clear leadership across every department, ensuring operational excellence, outstanding service standards and a seamless guest journey. Working closely with your departmental leaders, you'll develop talent, drive accountability and create an environment where colleagues feel empowered to succeed.
Commercially, you'll identify opportunities to grow revenue, improve profitability and maximise the hotel's market position, whilst maintaining a strong focus on cost control and business performance. You'll also oversee all aspects of compliance, health and safety, food safety and risk management, ensuring the hotel operates to the highest standards and remains a safe environment for guests, colleagues and contractors.
As the face of the hotel, you'll build strong relationships with guests, owners, local partners and the wider Aimbridge team, acting as an ambassador for both the Mercure brand and the business.
We're seeking an experienced General Manager or senior hotel leader with a proven track record of delivering results within a branded hotel environment. You'll bring a strong blend of commercial awareness, operational expertise and people leadership, with the ability to balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach when required. You'll understand what it takes to lead a successful hotel, from managing budgets and driving guest satisfaction to maintaining compliance and developing high-performing teams.
Most importantly, you'll be an engaging and visible leader who can inspire confidence, build capability and unite people around a common goal. You'll know how to challenge standards positively, create accountability and bring fresh ideas that help an already successful hotel reach its full potential.
In return, you'll have the opportunity to lead a respected hotel with an established team and significant scope to make your mark. We offer a competitive salary and bonus scheme, industry-leading development opportunities, hotel discounts and the support of one of the world's largest and most successful hotel management companies. Most importantly, you'll have the autonomy to influence the future direction of the hotel while being backed by a business that believes in empowering its leaders to succeed.
If you're a commercially minded hotel leader with a passion for people, operations and guest experience, and you're ready to elevate an established team and drive the next chapter of success at Mercure Telford Centre Hotel, we'd love to hear from you.
