Novotel Leicester is seeking an experienced Conference and Events / Food & Beverage Assistant. You will need to be able to work flexible hours across seven days to ensure we meet the business's needs.

A day in the life of…

As conference and events assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of events and conferences. They are responsible for all aspects of planning and execution, including coordinating catering, audio-visual equipment, and room set-up. This role will see you liaise with clients to ensure their needs are met and communicate requirements to relevant departments. You will also ensure equipment and facilities are in working order before each event and provide excellent customer service. Importantly, you’ll constantly be aware of health and safety regulations and attend training and meetings as required to perform your role effectively.

  • You’ll have excellent organisational, technical, and interpersonal skills, focused on delivering a first class event every time
  • You must have strong communication skills to liaise with clients, suppliers, and relevant departments and be the first point of contact for a range of stakeholders
  • Attention to detail, multitasking ability, and strong customer service skills are key
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and flexibility to work varied hours are also required.
  • Most importantly, to be successful in this role, you will be passionate about providing an exceptional guest experience and living through our brand standards.
