The Role
As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring customer orders are picked, packed, processed, and dispatched accurately and efficiently to both UK and export customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking and packing customer orders accurately
- Checking quantities and products prior to dispatch
- Completing order documentation including packing specs and consignment notes
- Processing and despatching orders using internal IT systems
- Booking finished goods into stock
- Replenishing picking locations
- Processing customer collections and returns
- Loading and unloading vehicles using forklift trucks (including Reach)
- Carrying out stock checks and cycle counts (perpetual inventory)
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping across the warehouse and yard
- Communicating with internal teams to provide order updates

- Previous warehouse experience
- Valid Reach Forklift Truck licence with practical operating experience
- Experience using barcode scanners and warehouse systems
- Experience with stock control and inventory counting
- Confident with IT systems and data entry
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive, reliable, and safety-focused attitude

Hours of work will be 39 hours per week, working nights Sunday 3pm - 11pm, Monday - Wednesday 10pm - 6am & Thursday 10pm - 5am. Hourly pay rate - £13.50 plus 25% shift allowance.
