Material Handler

West Bromwich Full-Time No home office possible

Neon Contracts is employing for our client in the West Bromwich area. They are a leading manufacturer and distributor of electrical, mechanical, and safety infrastructure solutions. We are looking for an experienced material handler with an overhead crane and combi forklift licenses.

Responsibilities

Operate material handling equipment such as cranes and forklifts
Offload, identify and safely store raw material in coil and flat sheet form
Take responsibility for inspection goods for quality and quantity
Enter traceability data into manual and/or electronic records
Ensure good levels of 5S are maintained in the area
Be involved in continuous improvement processes driving improvements in all aspects of the role
Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed
Performs Other Duties as Assigned

What You Bring

A good knowledge of material handling processes
Able to work as part of a team and as an individual
Motivation to beat targets safely and required quality standards
Commitment to the rotating shift pattern
Must have an overhead crane license
Hours of work will be 39 hours per week on a 2-week rota
Monday – Friday 6am – 2pm
Monday – Friday 2pm – 10pm
Hourly rate of £12.00 depending on experience, plus 22% shift allowance
