Material Handler

Neon Contracts is employing for our client in the West Bromwich area, they are a leading manufacturer and distributor of electrical, mechanical, and safety infrastructure solutions. With approximately 3,900 employees and 65 manufacturing and distribution facilities worldwide, they manufacture electrical conduit, cable management systems, armoured cable, metal framing, and security products and solutions.

What you’ll do:

1. Operate material handling equipment such as cranes and forklifts
2. Offload, identify and safely store raw material in coil and flat sheet form
3. Take responsibility for inspection goods for quality and quantity
4. Enter traceability data into manual and/or electronic records
5. Ensure good levels of 5S are maintained in the area
6. Be involved in continuous improvement processes and driving through improvements in all aspects of the role
7. Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Hours of work will be 39 hours per week working 6am-2pm.

Hourly rate of £11.00- £12.00 depending on experience.
