Neon Contracts is employing for our client who is a leading manufacturer and distributor of electrical, mechanical, and safety infrastructure solutions. With approximately 3,900 employees and 65 manufacturing and distribution facilities worldwide, they manufacture electrical conduit, cable management systems, armored cable, metal framing, and security products and solutions.
Who We Are Looking For
Logistics Team Leader to be responsible for picking, pack and dispatch. Support with inventory accuracy, warehouse housekeeping, process improvement and customer complaints.
What Youll Do
- Supervise the team to promote best practice and give continuous & sustained reliability to production.
- Lead and set standards from which others are expected to operate, taking full accountability for the area of responsibility and its performance.
- Develop and implement best practices and new processes to achieve better performances throughout the business.
- Be working towards and achieve agreed performance criteria as part of the departmental and site KPIs and SDPs.
- Monitor employees within areas to ensure lateness, absence and return to work interviews are dealt with in line with Company Policies and where necessary disciplinary action taken.
- Represent area and Company during internal meetings, contributing to ongoing Company development.
- Supervise pick, pack and dispatch.
- Distribute workload in line with plan adherence.
- Identify training needs of self and others within area.
- Ensure successful delivery and implementation of training activities through agreed methods, in line with operational requirements and ensure maintenance of these training records.
- Follow Company escalation process.
- Implement 5Ss and apply lean tools and techniques.
- Support logistic Team Leaders when they are unavailable with day-to-day activities.
- Lead stand downs.
- Reporting to Logistics Supervisor on Performance.
- Implement new processes to reduce customer complaints.
- Support employee wellbeing.
- Adhere to and promote Company core values and ensure team are working towards to the Company mission.
- Ensure compliance to all Health and Safety rules and contribute to hazard spotting and risk assessment in the area.
- Reach FLT license is required.

Hours of work will be 39 hours per week, Monday Thursday 8am 4pm & Friday 8am -4pm. Hourly pay rate - Depending on experience (Around £14 ph).
