Position Sales Engineer performing technical support functions and front-line sales for the Northern region of the UK. The Sales Engineer reports to the Technical Sales Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Establishing and meeting sales and profit targets for the specified region.
  • Front line support to customers in area and covering other areas should the need arise.
  • Selling the Company’s complete product line to the industry.
  • Coordinating sales opportunities and samples with appropriate BLT personnel.
  • Reporting activity pertaining to identified strategic accounts on a timely basis.
  • Defining and providing product requirements to the technical department.
  • Evaluating materials at customer’s sites and providing technical assistance and troubleshooting of products/processes.
  • Responding to customer’s request on technical support in a timely manner by phone, email, or visit.
  • Continuously learning and demonstrating the proper use of BLT/AIM products.
  • Identifying new applications and opportunities for existing products.
  • Interfacing with credit and quality assurance departments, as necessary.
  • Attending Technical Support group conference to exchange experiences with global colleagues.
  • Attending company sales meetings and industry trade shows.

Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary Education in a Chemistry background would be ideal with experience in Sales desirable.
  • Ideally some Technical Sales experience in the electronics sector.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
  • Self-motivated individual who is comfortable organizing their own visits and Sales calls.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Home office based around the North of England/Midlands.
