The Warehouse associate ensures that all shipments and arrivals of material are done in accordance with transportation laws and requirements. The person will be responsible for completing proper documentation to ensure that the order is on time and with the right paperwork.
Responsibilites
- The Warehouse associate responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Goods receiving/Preparation of orders for dispatch
- Weigh and verify all material being received against packing lists
- Prepare shipping documentation properly
- Report all discrepancies and/or damages.
- Compete and file all necessary paperwork for traceability and stock control
- Maintain proper inventory counts.
- Packing and Labeling of paste, drums and pots
- Keep working areas clean, safe and organized
- Ensure housekeeping and health and safety standards are maintained.
- Develop strategies to solve problems.
- Carry out any reasonable tasks requested by the head of department or manager
- Assist in maintenance of equipment and manufacturing of plating jigs
- Forklift driving
Qualifications
The Warehouse associate should possess
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse setting doing shipping and receiving.
- Willing to take the initiative and step up and do jobs as needed and with pride in their work.
- Ability to work as a team which includes multi-tasking, flexibility and adaptability with coworkers.
- Must be able to lift loads of up to approximately 22 kg and carry them over short distances.
- Must be very detailed oriented
- Familiar with preparing orders in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to take the initiative and step up and do jobs as needed and with pride in their work.
- Must be able to pull and manipulate heavy charges from time to time
- Must have experience driving a forklift
