Aim Smarter is a community-driven technology platform for the promotional products industry. We are changing the way we tell our story, and we are looking for someone to help us tell it. This role sits at the intersection of storytelling, platform strategy, community documentation, and creative execution.

Your job is to find stories within our network of members and supplier partners, shape them, and make them resonate across various platforms. You will work closely with the brand and marketing team to determine messaging and approach for different audiences.

What you would actually be doing:

  • Running and shaping Aim's social presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, Snapchat, and Facebook.
  • Planning and shooting original content on location, mostly handheld and iPhone-led short-form, with higher-production pieces when necessary.
  • Attending events, supplier visits, and in-person community experiences to capture content live.
  • Interviewing members and brand partners on camera to pull authentic moments from them.
  • Editing for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and longer-form LinkedIn and YouTube.
  • Using AI across the whole pipeline: ideation, scripting, edit acceleration, auto-captioning, b-roll generation.
  • Running day-to-day community management across platforms.
  • Collaborating with the brand and marketing team on platform direction and content strategy.

What we need to see from you:

  • A portfolio of short-form social content that has performed well.
  • Demonstrable AI fluency and comfort with adopting new tools.
  • Strong opinions about what good social looks like.
  • The right to work in the UK and the ability to travel to the US without sponsorship.

The kind of person this is actually for:

  • You are culturally switched-on and notice how people communicate online.
  • You are comfortable on camera and can put interviewees at ease.
  • You understand Gen Z behaviour through personal experience.
  • You are warm, socially intelligent, and willing to travel.
  • You are creative but can also execute ideas effectively.
  • You do not need a degree; you need taste, instinct, and a strong portfolio.

What Aim is like:

  • This is an in-person role; immersion is key.
  • The team is small and connected, with no silos between brand, content, and community.
  • This is an established company with real infrastructure and industry relationships.

How to apply:

Once you apply, you will receive an email with details of the next stage. You will be asked to send your CV, portfolio, and a short 2–3 minute video introducing yourself. In your video, discuss a brand or creator that excels at building community through content, a platform or trend that brands are underusing, or something you have created that you are proud of.

Aim Smarter is based in Manchester. This role requires you to be Manchester-based and in the office. Remote applications will not be considered.
