Our client are recruiting for 2 Print Finishers / Guillotine Operators at the impressive production facility in East London. The Finisher will produce accurate work to specification within a fast-paced print production environment. Utilising industrial print finishing machinery to ensure finished products meet quality standards, production schedules and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate programmable and manual guillotine cutting, safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret job sheets accurately, to maintain integrity of the finished product.
- Be able to set guillotine programs.
- Inspect printed products for quality, alignment and trimming accuracy.
- Competent in guillotine blade changes (training for this can be provided).
- Perform routine maintenance and blade checks.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience operating industrial print finishing guillotines.
- Good numerical and measuring skills.
- Ability to read production specifications and job instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong awareness of health & safety policies.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
Desirable
- Experience with Polar, Perfecta or Wohlenberg guillotines.
- Understanding of other Lamination, Stitching, Folding and Book Binding finishing processes.
- Forklift License.
- Experience with Siteflow MIS systems.
Physical Requirements
Role involves a level of manual handling; a good standard of physical fitness is required.
Flexibility
Primarily night shift, with flexibility required to support business needs. Willingness to work additional hours during peak periods or to cover absence.
Two positions available: Sunday - Wednesday night shift or Monday - Thursday night shift. Both are 20:00 - 06:00.
