A well-established fuel distribution company is looking for a professional HGV Class 1 (C+E) tanker driver to join their team delivering petroleum products to domestic, commercial and forecourt customers across the region. Salary & Earnings

  • £38,100 basic salary (40 hours pw)
  • On-target earnings £48,000+ per year
  • Overtime paid at time and a half

The Role as a HGV 1 Tanker Driver

  • Delivery of petroleum fuel products to domestic, commercial and retail forecourt customers
  • Operating modern Class 1 tanker vehicles
  • Working to strict ADR and petroleum safety standards
  • Maintaining high levels of customer service and professionalism

Shift Pattern

  • Typically Monday to Friday
  • Minimum 40 hours per week
  • Opportunity for regular overtime
  • Some flexibility required during seasonal demand periods

Requirements

  • HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
  • ADR certificate (Class 3 - Tanks) preferred
  • Previous fuel tanker / petroleum delivery experience advantageous
  • Tanker experience from chemicals, gas or other liquid sectors also considered
  • Strong safety awareness and customer service skills

Training & Development

  • Training may be provided for suitable drivers from general haulage backgrounds, including:
  • PDP training
  • Smith System training
  • Full tanker operational training
