Weβre looking for an experienced marketer with great interpersonal skills to join us at this respected, heritage, visitor attraction. The Marketing and Events Officer will work closely with the Head of Commercial and Marketing to develop brand awareness and impact alongside maximising income potential through events and hires.
Main purpose of job
Reporting to the Head of Commercial and Marketing, the Marketing and Events Officer will work closely with them to develop brand awareness and impact, alongside maximising income potential through events and hires. This post requires high levels of organisation, able to flex across planning, promotion, operational delivery, review and follow up. The Officer necessarily undertakes a wide range of administrative tasks. Prioritisation and communication skills are key for the role as the post requires balancing shared responsibility of tasks/projects whilst working part-time hours.
Whilst much of the marketing activity may happen back of house, the role is also public facing and is responsible for delivering our programme of events, commercial hires and acting as a Duty Manager where required. The Museum opening hours are extended over the festive season and this roleβs hours may include weekdays, weekends and Bank Holidays, as well as evening work to support a range of events and private hires. You will be expected to play your part amongst a team required to cover shifts immediately before and after Christmas, including Christmas eve.
