An established and growing business operating within a fast-paced, product-led environment is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to support operational and commercial performance across multiple sites. Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a highly visible role working closely with senior operational management to provide clear, actionable financial insight. The successful candidate will combine strong FP&A and business partnering experience with advanced analytical capability, using Power BI and Excel to improve decision-making, labour efficiency, cost recovery and margin performance. The role will also lead and develop two Finance Business Partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior operational teams to review performance, challenge assumptions and support commercial decision-making.
- Analyse performance by site, customer and product, identifying trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Review labour planning and operational data to support improved efficiency and service delivery.
- Monitor key operating costs and ensure movements are accurately reflected within forecasts, management accounts and reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve cost recovery, reduce waste, protect margin and maximise revenue.
- Develop and improve Power BI dashboards, reporting tools and management information.
- Lead, coach and develop two Finance Business Partners, ensuring consistently high standards of analysis and support.
- Work collaboratively across Finance, Operations, Planning and other operational functions.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Strong experience within FP&A, finance business partnering, management accounting, commercial finance or business analysis.
- Previous experience within a product-based environment is essential, ideally food, FMCG, manufacturing or a similarly operational business.
- Advanced Excel skills with substantial experience in financial modelling, analysis and reporting.
- Strong practical experience using Power BI, including developing reports and dashboards for operational stakeholders.
- Qualified accountant or qualified by experience, ideally CIMA, ACCA or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge, influence and translate complex data into practical recommendations.
- Knowledge of Anaplan and/or Prophet would be advantageous.
This is a multi-site position, primarily based in Kent with regular travel between locations. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, sponsorship is not available for this position.
