We are recruiting for a Product Evaluation Assistant to join a leading fresh produce business, supporting its technical and product development team.
This is a varied role focused on product testing, data collection, consumer panels and technical support.
You will help assess product quality and consistency while maintaining accurate data and supporting wider product evaluation projects.
Product Evaluation Assistant Key Responsibilities
Coordinate product samples for consumer panel testing.
Liaise with growers, breeders and internal teams to organise new and existing product samples.
Measure and record product characteristics including size, weight, firmness, colour, Brix and Brix/acid ratios.
Monitor shelf life and ensure results are accurately logged.
Upload and maintain product evaluation data and reports.
Support packaging and shelf-life trials.
Assist with internal taste panels and wider technical projects.
Maintain supplier portal information and support suppliers with system access queries.
Support the development of product databases covering varieties, breeders and licences.
Attend supplier, breeder and consumer panel visits where required.
Product Evaluation Assistant Key Skills and Experience
Strong attention to detail and confidence working with data.
Good organisational and communication skills.
Comfortable using Excel and business systems.
Previous experience in fresh produce, food manufacturing, quality, technical or laboratory environments would be advantageous.
