This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist team in the Fresh Produce sector, where you will play a leading role in shaping procurement strategy and ensuring long-term business success. As Senior Procurement Manager, you will lead supplier negotiations, optimise sourcing strategies, and influence key business decisions across multiple product categories.
Working closely with the Head of Procurement, you will provide support in their absence and play a key role in nurturing and developing the wider team. This is a driven yet friendly environment, and we are seeking an individual who is both personable and approachable, with the ability to inspire and support colleagues while driving performance.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Lead and implement procurement strategies across a diverse range of Fresh Produce categories
Build and maintain strong supplier and stakeholder relationships that deliver long-term value
Drive commercial performance through effective cost management, sourcing optimisation, and contract negotiationSupport and deputise for the Head of Procurement, providing leadership and continuity when required
Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering collaboration and professional growth
Significant procurement or category management experience, ideally within Fresh Produce, FMCG, or Fresh Food
Strong commercial acumen with a track record in delivering value creation and supply chain optimisation
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with proven ability to manage suppliers at a strategic level
Organised, proactive, and confident working in a fast-paced environment
A collaborative, approachable style with the ability to lead and inspire others
