Ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of production equipment and site infrastructure within a busy operational environment. We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to support the ongoing maintenance and performance of production machinery, building services, and site equipment. This role is responsible for delivering preventative maintenance activities, responding to breakdowns, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently in line with operational requirements. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining operational performance while supporting continuous improvement across engineering and maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver preventative maintenance activities to ensure machinery and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly, carrying out repairs to minimise operational downtime.
  • Monitor machinery performance using agreed indicators and identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Ensure all engineering work is completed in accordance with health and safety legislation, risk assessments, and safe working procedures.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and production documentation following repair or servicing activities.
  • Support the maintenance of building systems, utilities, and associated site infrastructure.
  • Provide guidance and training to production colleagues on correct operation of equipment and machinery.
  • Assist with contractor management and ensure external engineering work meets required safety and compliance standards.

Key Requirements

  • Recognised mechanical engineering qualification such as City and Guilds or equivalent.
  • Electrical qualification and experience working within maintenance environments.
  • Strong knowledge of safe systems of work and health and safety regulations.
  • Experience maintaining industrial machinery, production equipment, and site facilities.
  • Competent using Microsoft Office applications and maintenance documentation systems.

This position operates on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, working night shifts from 18:00 to 06:00. This is a full-time position based in the United Kingdom. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom, and evidence of this right will be required prior to interview.
