Our client is evolving into one of the world’s most established motor racing media brands for a modern digital audience. They are looking for a commercially minded Marketing Manager to lead and execute data-driven marketing activity across subscriptions, digital products, e-commerce, events and audience growth. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who combines strong marketing fundamentals with technical understanding, analytical thinking and experience working within a subscription or publishing environment. You will play a key role in how they acquire, convert, retain and engage audiences across multiple platforms and products, while helping optimise the systems, journeys and processes that power their marketing operation.
The Role
You will be responsible for planning, executing and optimising integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels, products and audience touchpoints. Working closely with senior management and cross-functional teams including editorial, product, subscriptions and commercial, you will help drive audience growth, subscription revenue, customer retention and engagement. The ideal candidate will understand both the creative and technical sides of modern marketing — from campaign strategy and customer journeys through to reporting, marketing automation, analytics and platform integrations.
Responsibilities
- Plan, manage and optimise multi-channel marketing campaigns across subscriptions, ecommerce, events, editorial and brand activity
- Own customer acquisition, engagement and retention activity across digital and print subscription products
- Develop and optimise lifecycle marketing journeys including onboarding, retention, win-back and renewal campaigns
- Work across email marketing, paid social, organic social, partnerships, landing pages and web campaigns
- Analyse campaign and customer performance using data to improve conversion, engagement and ROI
- Build reporting dashboards and provide regular insight into campaign performance, audience behaviour and commercial impact
- Work closely with product and development teams to improve customer journeys, tracking, integrations and digital experiences
- Manage and optimise marketing automation workflows and customer segmentation strategies
- Support the ongoing optimisation of subscription funnels, paywalls, ecommerce journeys and lead generation activity
- Brief and manage creative, design and external agency support where required
- Ensure campaigns are accurately tracked and measured across all platforms
- Contribute to wider audience growth and digital transformation initiatives across the business
- Maintain a strong understanding of publishing, subscription and digital marketing trends
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in digital marketing, subscriptions or audience growth
- Experience within publishing, media, memberships or subscription-led businesses
- Strong understanding of customer acquisition, retention and lifecycle marketing
- Experience using CRM and marketing automation platforms such as Dotdigital, HubSpot, Mailchimp or similar
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with experience using platforms such as Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio or similar tools
- Comfortable working with data, segmentation, attribution and campaign measurement
- Understanding of how marketing systems, websites, ecommerce platforms and subscription platforms connect together
- Experience managing integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels and products
- Experience working with CMS platforms such as WordPress
- Understanding of ecommerce, subscriptions and recurring revenue models
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
