Utilities Analyst
Are you a detail-oriented and analytically minded accounts professional that’s looking for a new role in an analytical capacity within a large business locally? We’re recruiting for a Utilities Analyst to join a leading retail business locally in a newly created position.
About the Company:

The Role:
The Utilities Analyst will lead on the resolution of utility invoice discrepancies and ensure the accuracy of utility data across systems. This role involves working closely with utility suppliers, distribution network operators and internal teams to identify, track and resolve billing issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and resolve issues identified during invoice validation
- Liaise directly with suppliers and DNOs to challenge discrepancies and drive them to resolution
- Ensure consistent follow-through on issues from initiation to closure
- Retain relationships with dedicated supplier account managers, especially during transitions between suppliers, to avoid reliance on generic call centres
- Escalate issues appropriately to maintain service quality and continuity.
- Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders including Finance and Systemslink users
- Collaborate closely with colleagues such as the other Utilities Manager to ensure alignment and data integrity
- Ensure issues are fully resolved before invoice approval
- Maintain accurate, clean, and reliable data to support ongoing validation and reporting
The Ideal Candidate:
- Exceptional attention to detail, able to spot and investigate anomalies in data
- Willingness and ability to learn systems and processes quickly
- Strong Excel with the ability to interpret large datasets.
- Excellent management skills to handle multiple accounts, meet deadlines, and ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively
