Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) – Fulltime/Nights
Since 1991, Aurora Pavilion Behavioral Health Services (as part of Aiken Regional Medical Centers) has brought renewed hope for those suffering from emotional and behavioral disorders, and those with alcohol and substance use disorders. The 62-bed facility, located on the campus of Aiken Regional Medical Centers, is accredited by The Joint Commission. The facility offers comprehensive, individualized treatment services by a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, clinicians, mental health technicians and recreation therapists who are committed to high quality care.
The Registered Nurse provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
Duties:
- Performs nursing assessments.
- Performs group psychoeducation.
- Performs family psychoeducation.
- Performs individual psychoeducation.
- Develops nursing related programs as appropriate.
- Performs initial precertifications and concurrent reviews on PHP patients.
- Tracks daily attendance, admissions and discharges of PHP patients.
- Participates in the development of treatment plans.
- Reviews and updates treatment plans as needed.
- Interacts with community agencies to establish mental health network.
- Charts every session.
- Participates in program development meetings.
- Communicates and coordinates services with supervisor.
- Assists the Assessment and UR department as needed and able (e.g. answering RESPOND calls).
- Compiles and maintains accurate patient charts.
- Reviews charts for physician orders and assures orders are completed as necessary.

Qualifications Requirements:
- Work experience requirements: Minimum 1 year experience in mental health setting recommended. New Graduates are encouraged to apply. Assessment and referral experience preferred.
- Required licenses/certifications/courses: Registered Nurse and having South Carolina state licensure for that field.
