Aiimi is seeking a Data Scientist to join our consulting department and to work directly with one of our clients. You will work closely with client stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand complex problems, architect scalable models, and translate insights into actionable recommendations. Please be aware that this is a client-facing role, which will see the successful candidate work on-site 5 days per week in Derby, and will require UK Security Clearance eligibility due to the sensitive nature of the work.
Requirements
- Essential:
- A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related discipline, or equivalent academic experience.
- Experience in data science or related fields.
- Strong proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages.
- Experience with machine learning, statistical modelling (including time series analysis), and data mining techniques.
- Expertise in data wrangling, feature engineering, and working with large, complex datasets.
- Experience deploying models to production and knowledge of MLOps practices.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Eligible for security clearance.
- Desirable:
- Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related discipline.
- Experience in a consultancy environment or working with clients.
- Experience with data engineering workflows.
- Familiarity with big data tools and technologies.
- Relevant certifications in data science.
