Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic compliance professional to join the compliance department of a leading Lloyd’s Managing Agent. Reporting directly to the CCO, the role covers regulatory compliance, financial crime, conduct and consumer duty obligations. The position is ideal for a candidate with strong compliance experience in the Lloyd’s of London Market who wants to elevate their career. You will work with three experienced senior compliance specialists and gain opportunities for learning and growth.
Key Responsibilities
You will assist the Compliance team on all matters, with a primary focus on regulatory compliance, financial crime and conduct, supporting senior members across their respective workstreams.
Regulatory Compliance
- Assist in monitoring compliance with FCA, PRA, MAS and LIC requirements across Talbot’s regulated entities.
- Support the team in maintaining Talbot’s compliance with Lloyd’s requirements and Principles.
- Maintain existing procedures and monitor compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Provide broader compliance advisory to the Business.
- Handle regulatory reporting and liaison, including Lloyd’s returns, Principles and PRA/FCA reviews.
- Oversee the Complaints Handling process.
- Take a proactive approach to compliance risk monitoring and management across the Business.
- Participate in assurance matters, including the annual compliance plan.
- Engage in internal working groups as appropriate.
Financial Crime
- Support the Financial Crime specialist in monitoring Economic Sanctions and financial crime developments as they relate to Talbot Underwriting Ltd.
- Assist in providing sanctions advice to the Business, including overnight screening.
What We’re Looking For
- Enthusiasm, willingness to learn, proactive attitude.
- Strong compliance experience in Insurance (Lloyd’s Managing Agent experience is beneficial).
- Ability to work across all compliance disciplines.
- Understanding of Financial Crime and Sanctions.
- Ability to interpret regulation and policies.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Attention to detail.
