How You Will Create An Impact

  • Assist with the administration of all reinsurance post‑placement functions including contract booking, claims recoveries, credit control and reporting.
  • Input new facultative and treaty contracts/endorsements into the systems, ensuring key details are recorded accurately and on time.
  • Input premium advice notes and confirm premium payment.
  • Assist with daily SCM/USM messages including Syndicate Event Coding.
  • Assist with month/quarter end processes, promptly advising brokers of recoveries, and providing claims data supplements and adjuster reports.
  • Assist with group reporting on shared RI contracts.
  • Monitor and assist with credit control of claims and premiums via LORS, including non‑cash LORS.
  • Assist with reinsurer queries, ensuring requests are dealt with efficiently for prompt settlement.
  • Assist with ad‑hoc reporting and returns, producing net data for the business.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, other compliance and audit requirements at all times and maintain awareness of Talbot’s Risk & Controls Framework applicable to the Reinsurance department.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • Production of all proportional treaty bordereaux for claims and premium, ensuring prompt notification and settlement.
  • Assist with facultative claims recoveries.
  • General reinsurance knowledge.
  • General reinsurance processing experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Good analytical and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player and independently, dealing comfortably with individuals and teams both internally and externally.
