Join us as an International Healthcare Specialist and play a key part in developing AIG's International business in the Health Care industry. It’s an opportunity to grow your skills and experience as a valued member of our global Casualty team.
How you will make an impact
- Support our development of our International Healthcare Practice in line with our underwriting strategy, whilst maintaining a focus on bottom line underwriting profit, with a specific focus on Medical Malpractice.
- The role can be based at any of our international offices, with a preferred location in London, Munich, Frankfurt, Madrid or Paris and will report to our Global Chief Underwriting Officer, Casualty.
- Development, growth, profitability and service of existing client and acquisition of new business.
- Build and maintain relationships with a panel of designated global brokers, ensuring our product and proposition is communicated, and working with regional UW teams and CBE teams ensuring proactive pipelining of new business and cross-sell opportunities.
- Be the referral point in the Health Care area and be subject matter expert to the international team.
- Drive and assist with the budgeting process for the area in collaboration with our Global Casualty CUO.
- Develop and manage implementation of our marketing plan, helping to communicate and promote our proposition to our regional teams and our global brokers and large clients.
- In collaboration with our local underwriting team across international, contribute towards the growth, profitability, innovation, and service proposition of the Health Care Practice.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Long experience of the Health Care Sector, preferably on an international level.
- Extensive experience in underwriting as well as servicing multinational clients.
- Ability to underwrite multiline accounts.
- Strong expertise in analysis risk, interpretation and analysis of claims, and appropriate deployment of loss control resources.
- Proven ability to successfully negotiate on all levels and develop broker relationships.
- Strong interpersonal, written communication skills and focus on quality.
