This is a fantastic opportunity for a part qualified accountant to join our team in a global role where you will be supporting teams across UK, Europe, North America, LAC, APAC, Japan and China. You will report into the Multinational CFO and will get lots of exposure with senior stakeholders and international colleagues, as well as great exposure to our products supporting our Multinational business.
Make your mark in Finance
Our Finance team plays an essential role in maintaining a healthy balance sheet at AIG. It delivers significant finance support for the overall enterprise, optimizing operations, controllership, funding, and capital structure to honour our stakeholder commitments. The team’s work is invaluable to informing leadership decision making, complying with regulatory requirements, and maintaining financial discipline, transparency and controls, while providing timely and meaningful information.
How you will create an impact:
- Direct business partnering support to the Multinational Business Unit and liaison with regional teams supporting the business (across multiple functions such as Operations, Claims, Actuarial and IT)
- Preparing Power BI Dashboards to support production reporting on premiums and fee income, with commentary where required
- Preparing Monthly / Quarterly Business Review packs for regional leaders to present to the CEO, COO and CFO of Multinational.
- Preparing Monthly / Quarterly Expense Reporting packs (including Head Count reporting)
- Reviewing, understanding and investigating material deviations to expectations in financial results.
- Building and monitoring Multinational business unit forecasts around Premiums, Fee Income and General Operating Expenses.
- Close liaison with Regional FP&A teams to ensure budget / Forecast inputs are coordinated and submitted in a timely manner.
- Support the development and management reporting against the multi-year strategic plan.
- Supporting the quantification areas of strategic priorities including portfolio improvement plans and scenario analytics.
- Subject Matter Expert to review, understand, investigate, resolve issues and articulate actual expense spend transaction details, drivers and accurate system recording.
- Deputise for Multinational CFO on designated areas.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Part qualified accountant
- 2-3 years FP&A experience within a global organisation
- Finance business partnering experience in areas of financial budgeting, strategic planning and profitability analysis.
- Insurance experience highly desirable
- Advanced ability to work with analytical tools to perform data analysis and prepare financial reporting (e.g. Power BI, Power Query, Excel, SAP, PowerPoint)
- Strong communicator with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial colleagues
- Strong problem solving skills
