Primary Responsibilities
  • Engage with existing and prospective users to understand and document their information needs, predicated on an understanding of both business processes and the business decisions that users need to make.
  • Provide Analyst support to new and ongoing BI projects to enable them to meet their deadlines.
  • Work with IT colleagues to understand and document available data sources and their interrelation.
  • Collaborate with other team members to design solutions.
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop strong reconciliation and control processes.
  • Work with quality assurance to ensure that business requirements are met.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
  • Experience of fulfilling a BI Analyst role in the full life-cycle of a DW/BI project.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the collateral factors that lead to success in DW/BI projects, including user engagement, prototyping, MDM, data quality and educational approach.
  • Experience using Power BI with an understanding of visualisation and reporting.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to manage problem resolutions effectively.
  • Can effectively communicate business and technical information across the organisation, being sensitive to the needs of different audiences.
  • Able to drive a structured and systematic path to resolution.
  • Able to work independently at the same time as professionally representing the team.
