Junior Data Engineer – 12 Month FTC Join us as a Junior Data Engineer on a 12-month fixed term contract to advance your career with a global market leader. How you will make an impact You will be responsible for day-to-day applications management, functional enhancement, and data stewardship in support of AIG’s International Actuarial function. Key responsibilities: Analysis, design, technology development, and delivery accountability for mission-critical actuarial processing initiatives across AIG. Manage the data used for UK/Europe processes, including segmentation during Month/Quarter end close, supporting Loss reserving activities. Provide data for Monthly Global AvE reporting (UK/Europe). Maintain the Quarter end process, including data for international segmentation, IBNR calculation, and reserving processes. Deliver reports to Reserving Actuaries on a monthly/quarterly basis. Provide international premiums and losses data for UK/EU regulatory reporting and statutory processes. Support actuaries with ad hoc data requests. Assist in audits across all actuarial system processes. Maintain relationships with business and IT partners. Ensure solutions adhere to AIG security standards. Document and improve actuarial process documentation. What you\’ll need to succeed: 3+ years of Data Engineering experience. Experience in Data Application management. Knowledge of Mainframe technologies – COBOL, JCL, TSO, ISPF, ENDEVOR, SDSF, JMR, IBM File Manager. SAS programming skills. SQL experience. Experience with Oracle, PowerBI, Snowflake, JAVA, Microsoft technologies (desirable). R and Python experience (desirable). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
