How You Will Create An Impact

The International Client Director will help drive profitable growth across AIG International by leading our Client Engagement strategy; driving a best practice client engagement model that is consistent across all regions. Key objectives will be to deliver new business growth across major accounts and ensure retention of existing business. This also includes managing a small portfolio of ‘key clients’ and supporting client engagement resources across International.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide an International focal point for client engagement both internally and externally for AIG.
  • Identify, share and develop best practice client management across International Client Engagement community; ensuring strategic account plans created for top 250 clients which are measurable.
  • Develop the International Client engagement community aligning KPIs, goals and scorecards to drive accountability.
  • Actively support deal management and conversion for major strategic accounts and new business opportunities.
  • Maintain own small portfolio of key clients, ensuring retention of all existing 'profitable' business and identify new and cross sell business opportunities.
  • Identify and maintain regular contact with key business influencers at broker partners within International Client Engagement.
  • Maintain strong working relationship with Head of Client Engagement, North America to ensure alignment of client engagement practices and strategy.
  • Drive Large account profitability strategy across International, partnering with Distribution Data and Analytics.
  • Lead the Global Executive Sponsor programme for AIG International to ensure senior management engagement with most valuable clients.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all products and be able to articulate AIG’s appetite and differentiators.
  • Work with Marcomms and support delivery of market leading events including ARMA, AIG Client Forum, International Client/Market calls and develop International’s client engagement roadmap including measurement of ROI from all initiatives and events.
  • Represent AIG International at risk and insurance industry events.
  • Role model use of AIG Salesforce and drive development utilization of other insight tools (360).
  • Manage designated ad-hoc projects.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • Client-facing experience with a dynamic, proactive approach.
  • Experience of corporate insurance programmes and multinational, particularly across main General Insurance products.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven interpersonal skills.
  • Effective organisational skills with the ability to achieve results under pressure, adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid profile and reputation in the commercial insurance market.
  • ACII preferable.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
