How you will create an impact

• Assist the Head of Underwriting Management Delegated underwriting and claims processes under review ensuring that they are appropriate;

• This will include onboarding and training for underwriters, coverholders and ongoing training as directed by the UOM. Monitoring and reporting of all exceptions against Delegated Authorities and oversight of both Syndicate and potentially AIG

• Support the HoUM to develop performance reporting and MI

• Oversight of the Talbot overseas offices to ensure that each office is complying with the delegated underwriting monitoring framework;

• Reporting and presenting at Committee meetings where required (DAOG, CR-POG plus ad hoc Third Party AIG meetings)

In addition you will be expected to work with the rest of the Underwriting Management Team ensuring all deadlines are met within required timeframes and will take responsibility for key items within the Underwriting Controls framework.

This is a significant role that provides the approval and monitoring of all DA and DCA business and you will be expected to liaise with numerous teams across the business in both an advisory and challenge capacity.

You are expected to run the DA function providing guidance and management to the team as well as guidance and training to the wider business on all aspects of DA.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Experience of delegated authority underwriting practices within Lloyd’s

  • General Insurance Knowledge

  • Experience managing a team with a proven background in coaching and developing talent

  • Part qualified CII (minimum certificate level)

  • Numerate and IT literate
