As the Senior Sourcing Specialist for Professional Services (IT & Non-IT) in UK & EMEA, you will be responsible for executing category strategy and leading sourcing initiatives in partnership with business leadership. Success in this role requires building strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and strategic suppliers to deliver optimal value. You will manage multiple complex and time-sensitive projects, ensuring alignment with AIG's policies and strategic goals.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing processes for Professional Services, encompassing contract negotiations, RFP management, and sourcing strategy development.
- Take ownership of complex contract negotiations, driving favourable business and pricing terms and conditions based on comprehensive market research and benchmark analysis.
- Spearhead cross-functional teams to define precise Professional Services supplier requirements and facilitate collaborative supplier selection, ensuring successful contract completion by business-critical deadlines.
- Assess supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and high-quality service delivery to business stakeholders.
- Establish strong relationships with business leaders and stakeholders, gaining a deep understanding of their strategic direction, requirements, and priorities across assigned spend categories.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on procurement best practices and strategies, upholding AIG's global procurement ethics and policies.
- Maintain expertise on market trends, supplier dynamics, and regulatory changes impacting the Professional Services category to inform strategic sourcing decisions.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
- Significant experience in strategic sourcing and complex contract negotiations specifically within Professional Services (IT and non-IT).
- Proven ability to draft, negotiate, and effectively manage a portfolio of supplier agreements in the Professional Services category.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify potential issues, propose solutions, and balance interests to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with senior management.
- In-depth knowledge of best-in-class Sourcing, Contracting, and Vendor Management processes, ideally within a complex organizational environment.
- Customer-centric approach, with a strong focus on understanding business needs and delivering solutions that provide maximum value.
