AIG is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Data Privacy professional to support the organisation’s commitment to protecting personal information. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with global data protection regulations, managing privacy risk and promoting best practices across the business. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen privacy governance, support regulatory requirements and help maintain customer and stakeholder trust through effective data protection practices.
How you will create an impact:
- Provide advice and guidance to business units and corporate functions on Privacy.
- Maintain current knowledge of EMEA & UK laws and regulations relating to Privacy governance, operational and compliance risks, and implementing appropriate changes to existing policies, standards and compliance programs.
- Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of policies, standards, procedures, assessment processes and response plans.
- Interact with Legal and Compliance stakeholders, and other liaisons.
- Develop and review privacy training program.
- Participate in the development and implementation of ongoing monitoring of Privacy risk.
- Coordinate approvals for eDiscovery and other forensic investigations.
- Work on the review and completion of the Global Compliance Risk Control Self-Assessment process for EMEA & UK Privacy.
- Assist other members of the global Privacy team with the management, operation and maintenance of the regional Privacy Network.
- Assist the Privacy team with the assessment and remediation of Privacy Risk Incident ("PRI") across EMEA and UK.
- Participate in the assessment, supervision and fulfilment of legal and compliance actions to be undertaken prior to new technology, cloud and mobile app implementations.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Experience as a privacy professional, risk officer, or compliance officer in diverse teams across UK & EMEA.
- Experience in designing and implementing new privacy processes and procedures.
- Analytical skills, with an inquisitive mind to explore data and identify critical issues and trends.
- Excellent relationship management, empathic and with influencing skills demonstrated at all levels of the organization.
- Confident, engaging, authoritative and pragmatic approach.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- IAPP certifications preferred (CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM).
