How you will create an impact: This is a fantastic role for someone with an enterprise/operational risk background to join our Risk team in a role that offers a lot of variety and some interesting challenges. You will gain a breadth of experience and have the opportunity to interact with senior stakeholders across the business.

  • Assist with oversight of risk appetites, tolerances and key risk indicators
  • Support the ongoing process of risk assessments, including deep dives
  • Support the quarterly reporting cycle, including attendance at quarterly meetings with key stakeholders
  • Monitor and record changes in the risk profile of the business, including the effectiveness of the control environment
  • Record and monitor risk management actions
  • Assist in the recording, monitoring and investigation of risk events / incidents
  • Contribute to the annual ORSA process
  • Be an active user of the ServiceNow GRC System, facilitating business attestations and providing training to new users
  • Assist in the design of and/or run reports in accordance with business needs from ServiceNow
  • Assist the Senior Risk Manager and Head of Risk Management to deliver other aspects of the Risk Management plan as required (with the opportunity to be involved in topical / strategic projects)
  • Keep up to date with Risk Management best practice and make recommendations for practical application in Talbot as relevant
  • Assist in any training exercises carried out by the Risk Management team

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Graduate with relevant degree
  • Some experience in Risk Management within Financial Services or a Consultancy
  • Highly motivated, inquisitive and a self-starter
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Very strong communication skills
  • Good knowledge of Word, Excel and databases
  • A desire to proactively engage with the business and build strong working relationships
  • Insurance experience advantageous
