- Leading on the execution of testing, leveraging data analysis where possible, and applying sufficient scrutiny and critical thinking to draw appropriate conclusions which are constructively discussed and agreed with management.
- Drafting high quality audit reports which clearly communicate and contextualise the findings of the audit, setting meaningful actions where needed, together with value adding advice and insight.
- Tracking open audit actions and verifying issues have been effectively remediated.
- Working efficiently and effectively in line with budgeted timeframes, providing guidance and direction for other team members to achieve the same.
- Contributing to the overall effectiveness and value of the Internal Audit Group by proposing and helping develop innovative approaches and solutions (e.g. the use of data analytics, automation, and Agile audit methodology).
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Prior internal audit experience within Financial Services or Insurance, including a certified professional qualification (e.g. CIA, CMIIA, CPA) is preferred, but candidates with relevant transferrable skills or alternative sector experience will be considered.

- An appreciation of the importance of balancing close stakeholder collaboration and engagement with maintaining audit objectivity and independence, and an ability to operate accordingly.
- Strong communication, presentation, and project management skills.
- A desire and ability to lead and coach other team members constructively and effectively.
- Flexibility and ability to function independently and multi-task in a dynamic, changing environment.
- Experience with leveraging the use of data analysis tools is a plus (e.g. MS Excel, Power BI, Access, ACL, IDEA, Qlikview, Tableau).
- A resourceful team player mindset with a can-do attitude.
